this opal is an absolute belter. I held onto it for sooo long until the perfect design came along to showcase the it honourably, and this piece is where I landed. featuring a floating, decorative halo around the stone, claw setting and split shank design.

the opal is a solid lightning ridge opal with flash in just about every colour imaginable, especially heavy on red, the most rare colour in opal.

carved by hand in jewellers wax while at my grandparents in london. cast in solid recycled 925 silver once I returned home
